Celebrating our 70th Year as a Volunteer Fire Company!

Posted by Jeff Cody (Sunday, January 1)

In 2017, we are celebrating our 70th year as an all-volunteer fire company. We appreciate and thank the Chester Heights residents and Borough Council for all their support.

Please Volunteer

Posted by Jeff Cody (Sunday, January 1)

Want to be a fireman? Come see us.

Want to volunteer but don’t want to be a firefighter? Come see us.

It should come as no surprise that those who are willing to run into a burning building and take hundreds of hours of emergency and firefighter training are typically not the same people who want to apply for grants, document procedures, update the website, plan events, or keep the station clean. Currently, those who wake up at two in the morning to respond to emergencies are the same people who do all the administrative and custodial tasks. If you don’t want to run into a burning building or devote hundreds of hours to emergency training, you could help us out by volunteering to do any of the following:
Grant Writing
Grant Implementation Management
Vehicle Maintenance
Website Maintenance
Facebook Moderator
Procedures Documentation
Once-a-week Station Cleaning
Or come to us with your skillset or interest and let’s see where you can help.

Please volunteer!

Chester Heights Fire Company Fund Drives

Posted by Jeff Cody (Saturday, March 3)

Each year, the Chester Heights Fire Company holds two fund drives. In early Spring, we hold the Fire Fund Drive.

In the fall, we hold the EMS fund drive. When you donate $50 or more, you become a subscriber of the Chester Heights EMS Subscription program. In the event of a 911 emergency and you are transported to the hospital by either the Concordville or Aston Township ambulance, you and/or your insurance company will be billed by the transporting ambulance company. If you are uninsured or your insurance company only covers a portion of the bill, as a subscriber you will not have to pay any portion of the ambulance bill that your insurance does not cover. This only applies to the Concordville and Aston Township ambulances.

Vehicle Rescue Training

Posted by Jeff Cody (Monday, January 1)

In addition to five members of our company finishing the official Vehicle Rescue Training course, we had numerous drills in 2012 and 2013 on vehicle rescue. Below is a picture from a drill where we fought a vehicle fire as part of the rescue.
