Firefighter Sayings

On June 3, 2002 the Chester Heights Fire Company became operational as a dive-rescue team. The main goal of the team is to provide Delaware County with a fully capable underwater search, rescue and recovery team. The team is also available to aid surrounding counties and states.

The team consist of Public Safety Divers certified to the NFPA 1670 level for dive-rescue technicians and surface support personal certified to the operational level. The members of the team hold multiple recreational certifications, public safety certifications from Dive Rescue International as well as various EMS and rescue certifications.

The team has all the equipment necessary to imitate and perform rescue and recovery operations from standing and slow current water. Our dry suits allow us to work in waters as cold as 4o degrees Fahrenheit. We are trained to dive at depths down to 100ft and work in zero visibility- black water. Searches can be performed from shore or boat based operations.

Our team is available 24/7 through Delaware County Dispatch. The teams operational vehicle is Air Unit 71, which carries all the necessary equipment for a rescue-recovery operation and is capable of refilling our SCUBA tanks on scene.

We welcome the opportunity to meet with any company or organization that may need our services so we can explain our capabilities and operations in more detail. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact Dive Team
